heh....... You know what's funny? I am fantastic at console shooters (Friend's dorm room has a 360 and 4 controllers during college season with his hd tv. stop by there between classes) and yet..... I have no 360 and after hearing about how microsoft is going to do more crap to steal money from you for no reason (you pay for live? well lets put a bunch of ads on it!) and while it is a dedicated service and while there aren't any independent servers OK, I can concede Pay to play. Sure. but ads? really? I could be fine with ads so its free or pay so there's no ads.... but both?..... I digress.

Also you know what really bugs me about console gaming actually? the same thing that bugs me about PC gaming. More specifically Starcraft II.

Because they're slowly getting rid of all the "Play as a group in your house features". Starcraft is popular still. Why? Cheap and it's fantastic to Lan. So what do they do for starcraft 2? There isn't a lan feature. You have to get on the internet. To get back to your house. "But Ganon!" you say. "Steam does the same thing!" Not true. Steam has Offline and if you get it to work right you can lan! I've done it before and it works WELL. But what does this have to do with console gaming? let's go back in time.... to a time called "360 Launch time" about oh... November 15th 2005. Call of duty 2. The last Infinity ward game of world war II. A game that was brilliant in single player, had online... and split screen. Basically all your modes and such in cod 4 but in world war 2. Except for one thing. Online and split screen were nay identical. You had the same kits, the same modes... but you didn't need to download new maps for 492.35 microsoft fun bucks. You had the game in its entirety. PERIOD. And you had variety in weapons for both teams while in split screen. What does cod 4 have? Well you have customizable kits and everything! New maps! and oh wait. that requires internet, and money. Well lets see what the kits are at least. There's the grenade whore, who everyone will yell at for having martyrdom and using the grenade launcher all the time..... there's the warfighter which is the perfect kit.... except everyone's using it and unless you have the sensitivity on 10, there's no way the dpi will let you hit beans with the g3 sniper. There's the Defender aka: Shotgun you never used but you just run around with the c4 in hand plant places. blow some up. You died? Oh look you dropped a grenade. And while yes, because classes have been out for a bit I had to look up info on the splitscreen kit names, and ok you can save prekits for split screen........ but here's the problem. it's the same problem earlier. It requires a level 55 prestiege cap..... what the fuck does that mean? It means you need internet in the first place...... .fucking A. No thank you. i'll take my cod 2 with OK graphics and fantastic depth range (as in you can snipe without fog! Amazing!) because it has everything. Just like starcraft . and that's why I have never Bought a console game or a console for that matter since the nintendo 64........ I have only touched ONE MMO, and that was Earth and Beyond. I'm serious. And unless a company comes out with all the stuff out front..... OTHER than valve in this day and age, I won't even consider consoles because.... lets face it......... Valve has yet to update consoles really. (OK they updated left 4 dead... but they still haven't done anything with tf2.... and sony people are absolutely fucked)

So unless i get everything when I buy a game. I won't do it. and that's why I'm a PC gamer................ as well as a guy who loves hats and drinks rum. I need a parrot.
